Dislocated kneecap surgery question? :) Please help?

So today I had a knee arthroscope for possible meniscus tear. It turns out I had a flap of ligament that pushed my kneecap way out of track. It was nearly very badly dislocated. It hurts so bad!! So he gave my parents an instruction sheet for like elevation, ice, showering, meds, etc, stuff like that. I go back on June 1 for a follow up appointment, and then therapy just for a few weeks. My question, when do you think I will be able to do sports again? Any advice from the surgery recovery? 10 points to the best answer! Thanks!
