How does a son gain his fathers respect?

My dad don't fish or watch sports hes also gone every other week for work the only way i can get him to open up and talk is after a game of left for dead or mw2 other times he a total jerk also make it look like hes wining it help him stay longer trust me hell love this also do a family protect together like re panting the house
